This dataset, published by Rennes Métropole, provides the land parcel units (unités foncières) layer of the French cadastre. As confirmed by a French Council of State ruling of 27 June 2005 (no. 264667), a land parcel unit is defined as a single contiguous block of property, made up of one parcel or a group of parcels belonging to the same owner or the same group of co-owners.
