This dataset provides a schematic representation of the built-up urban footprint ('tache urbaine') of the Greater Geneva cross-border agglomeration in 2005. It is derived by combining several data sources, including 2005 land cover data (buildings, other hard surfaces, parking areas, railways), processed through erosion-dilation operations to delineate continuous built-up zones. It is published by the Système d'information du territoire genevois (Geneva territorial information system) and is useful for spatial planning and urban development analysis at the local, cross-border scale of Geneva canton and its surrounding French agglomeration.La Tache Urbaine 2005 représente un état schématique de l'emprise du tissu bâti dans le Grand Genève en 2005.
