This dataset from the German regional statistics database (Regionalstatistik) provides annual figures on dependent employees working at business establishments, broken down by selected economic sections according to the WZ 2008 classification (German Classification of Economic Activities), covering sections B through N and P through S. Figures are compiled at district level, i.e. for Kreise and kreisfreie Städte (districts and independent cities) across Germany. The data is published by the statistical offices of the German federal and state governments and allows comparison of employment levels across economic sectors and regions over time.
