Urban and industrial air quality observations
The data includes real-time station-specific air quality observations from Finnish cities and industrial areas. Concentrations of air pollutants are measured with automatic, continuous measuring devices, and the data consists of hourly averages that are updated once an hour. The data includes seven pollutant compounds (SO2, NO2,O3, TRS, CO, PM10, PM2.5), but the range of compounds to be measured varies by measuring station. The scope of air quality measurement activities in municipalities and industry is determined on the basis of the Air Quality Regulation and environmental permit legislation. The Finnish Meteorological Institute collects the data in the Air Quality Portal (ilmanQuality.fi) and distributes it to open data.
