This dataset provides flood extent areas derived from discharge studies conducted in areas managed by Austria's Federal Water Engineering Administration (Bundeswasserbauverwaltung, BWV) in Tyrol. Under Section 42a of the Austrian Water Rights Act (WRG 1959), flood hazard maps must be produced and made publicly accessible. The dataset supports flood risk assessment and hazard mapping at the national level, covering areas relevant to water management authorities in Tyrol, and is published as open data via Austria's data.gv.at portal.Überflutungsfächen aus Abflussuntersuchungen in den Gebieten der Bundeswasserbauverwaltung (BWV). Aufgrund des § 42a des WRG 1959 sind Hochwassergefahrenkarten zu erstellen und ersichtlich zu machen.
