Travel time to 6 major centres by road
This dataset provides travel times by road to the six major Swiss centres of Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich. For each traffic zone in the country, it identifies the fastest accessible centre and the corresponding travel time on the road network. The figures are derived from the National Passenger Traffic Model (NPVM) maintained by the Swiss Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC). It is published by the Swiss Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE) and covers the national territory, supporting analysis of accessibility across Switzerland's regions.Travel time to the 6 major centres of Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich on the road network.
