This dataset lists newly planted street trees in the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. It covers trees already planted, excluding ones only commissioned, which are added to the tree register once completed. Trees originate from various sources, including resident donations, the citywide tree-planting campaign, work by district trainees, and contractors acting on behalf of the district. Each new planting receives organized watering care for three years, with a commissioned watering service continuing in the fourth and fifth years afterward. During dry periods, residents are encouraged to provide additional watering to help young trees survive water shortages, supplementing the district's maintenance efforts.This list contains the plantings that have already taken place. The plantings that have already been commissioned will only be transferred to the tree cadastre after they have been carried out. The contained trees were planted at different times with the help of donations to the district, through the fundraising campaign of the city tree campaign, by our trainees and by companies on behalf of the district.
