Sectoral Plan Deep Geological Repositories
This dataset relates to Switzerland's Sectoral Plan for Deep Geological Repositories, the national planning process for siting facilities to store radioactive waste from the country's nuclear power plants, as well as waste generated by healthcare, industry and research. Because radioactive waste must be isolated from people and the environment for very long periods, the plan sets out the criteria, procedures and site-selection stages used to identify suitable locations for deep geological repositories.
