This dataset lists doctors in Berlin who are officially recognised to conduct pregnancy conflict counselling and issue counselling certificates required for legal abortion under Section 219 of the German Criminal Code and the Pregnancy Conflict Act. It includes names, addresses, phone and fax numbers, email addresses, and websites, covering only doctors who consented to publication. Counselling addresses additional to those in this list are available from certified counselling centres. Pregnancy conflict counselling helps pregnant women facing an emergency or conflict situation, covering support services, adoption options, and abortion methods and risks; it is free, anonymous, and requires state recognition by Berlin's health administration. The dataset is updated annually.The data set contains names, addresses (street, house number, postal code, district), telephone/fax numbers, e-mail addresses as well as the Internet presence of recognised doctors in Berlin who are allowed to carry out pregnancy conflict counselling and issue counselling certificates. The dataset is updated annually and contains only doctors who have agreed to be published. Further addresses are available at the counselling centres that issue a certificate of counselling. Pregnancy conflict counselling is intended to help pregnant women in an emergency or conflict situation to make a self-responsible decision. It informs about assistance and support services, about the possibilities of releasing a child into care or adoption, as well as about methods and risks of abortion. Questions about sexuality, contraception and family planning can also be discussed. Pregnancy conflict counselling is free of charge and can be used anonymously. Pregnancy conflict counselling is required in accordance with Section 219 of the Criminal Code (StGB) and the Pregnancy Conflict Act (SchKG) so that abortion can be carried out without penalty. In accordance with Section 3 of the Pregnancy Counselling Services Act (SchwBG), counselling centres and doctors who carry out pregnancy conflict counselling in Berlin require state recognition by the Senate administration responsible for health care. The doctor who performs the termination of the pregnancy is excluded as a consultant.
