This dataset provides proposed site boundaries for Ramsar sites in England, published by Natural England via the Environment Agency. A Ramsar site is land listed as a Wetland of International Importance under the 1971 Ramsar Convention. Records in this dataset have the status "Proposed", meaning boundaries may still change slightly following consultation before final designation.
