This dataset provides the geographic boundaries of the protected perimeters for peri-urban agricultural and natural areas (PEAN) established in the Loire-Atlantique department, France. These perimeters are a planning tool aimed at limiting land consumption and urban sprawl by preserving farmland and natural spaces around urban areas. The Département de Loire-Atlantique has initiated four such perimeters, including the PEAN of the three valleys (Erdre and Gesvres and Nantes Métropole) and the PEAN Guérande La Turballe, among others.
