This dataset provides results of Austrian National Council (Nationalrat) elections for the city of Linz, published by the municipal administration of Linz. It reports the number of eligible voters, votes cast, and valid votes, along with vote totals per party, broken down by statistical district (through 2013) and by electoral split (from 2017 onward). It also documents special voting categories used between 2002 and 2013, such as special polling stations, mobile electoral commissions, and postal ballots counted by district election authorities. A glossary maps party abbreviations to full names and the specific election years in which each party or list participated under that name, accounting for renamed or discontinued parties.For the National Council elections in Linz, the number of eligible voters, the number of votes cast and the valid votes, as well as the votes attributable to the party totals until 2013 are broken down by statistical districts and from 2017 by electoral splinter. The "special sprinklers" in the National Council elections from 2002 to 2013 included "special sprinklers", "flying commissions", as well as the postal ballots counted by the district election authority.
