Margaritifera Sensitive Areas Map
This API provides NPWS (National Parks and Wildlife Service) GIS data on the distribution and sensitive areas of the Freshwater Pearl Mussel (Margaritifera margaritifera) and the Nore Freshwater Pearl Mussel (Margaritifera durrovensis) in Ireland. Both species are protected under Annex II and Annex V of the EU Habitats Directive.
