This dataset from the canton of Valais, Switzerland, lists existing authorized water abstraction points. For each site, it records the low-water discharge threshold (Q347), the volume of water withdrawn, and the residual flow remaining downstream of the intake. Abstraction authorizations are subject to renewal and regulatory approval. The dataset supports monitoring of surface water use and residual flow compliance across the canton, providing a basis for assessing the impact of water withdrawals on watercourses and for managing water resources under cantonal hydrological regulations.The versions are subject to authorisation; the water abstraction locations provide information on the low water runoff (Q347), the captured water quantities and the residual water quantity below the socket.
