Average number of days a person in the area received compensation during the year from the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in the form of sickness benefit, rehabilitation benefit and sickness and activity compensation. Please note that the definition of what qualifies for compensation has changed over time, making it inappropriate to compare figures over time. Please also note that the figures differ from Sweden's official statistics produced by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Statistics Sweden's ill health figures (which are the ones shown here) are based on a snapshot of the number of ill health days in the past year among the population living in the area on 31/12. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency instead uses a rolling average for the year. Statistics Sweden's statistics therefore count the number of ill health days people living in an area have had during the year, regardless of where they lived when they were sick. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency's official statistics for a municipality instead count all ill health days that were registered within an area during the year, regardless of whether the people then move.
