This dataset, published via WFS by the Planning Authority of Malta, provides the boundary of GSA15, the Geographical Sub-Area in which the Maltese Islands are located. Geographical Sub-Areas were established under GFCM resolution RES-GFCM/33/2009/2 (amending GFCM/31/2007/2) to define fisheries management zones within the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean area. Only GSA15 is included in this layer; other sub-areas must be sourced elsewhere.
