EMODnet Seabed erosion
This dataset provides an index map of seabed erosion studies compiled under the EMODnet Geology project (Work Package 3, Seabed Substrate), covering European waters and maintained with contributions from the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) and other project partners. It records the locations and extents of available erosion studies, with mandatory attributes such as identification code, country, data provider, contact details, sea area, erosion type, study description, method and reference. Optional metadata may include DOI, study purpose, data availability and format, erosion continuity, seabed dynamics, areal extent and erosion rates. The focus is limited to recent and present-day seabed erosion phenomena.EMODnet Seabed erosion is an index map collected within project EMODnet geology, WP3, Seabed substrate. The dataset includes index areas of available seabed erosion studies and related background information provided by project partners from European waters. Mandatory information includes identification code, country, data provider, contact info, sea area, seabed erosion type, study description, method and reference. Additional metadata includes e.g., DOI, purpose of the study, data availability and format, erosion continuity, seabed dynamics, areal extent and erosion rates information, if available. The focus is only on recent/present day erosion.
