This API provides data on the distribution of fish species in the watercourses of the canton of Geneva, Switzerland. It is maintained by the Système d'information du territoire genevois (Geneva territorial information system). The census of fish species present in cantonal waters is encouraged by the Swiss federal law on fishing of 21 June 1991 (art. 11) and by the canton of Geneva's implementing regulation of 15 December 1999 (art. 35).
