Digital orthophoto 20 cm ground resolution
Digital orthophotos (DOP) are geometrically corrected, true-to-scale aerial images derived from aerial surveys covering the German state of Bavaria. Flights alternate between Bavaria-North and Bavaria-South on a two-year cycle, ensuring complete coverage over time. Since 2018 the true orthophoto has been produced using an image-based digital surface model (DOM), improving accuracy in built-up and forested areas. The imagery is offered as a national dataset at 20 cm ground resolution in several formats: real colour (RGB), greyscale, colour infrared (CIR), and as a printed aerial map, supporting mapping, planning, and land-monitoring applications across Bavaria.Digital orthophotos (DOP) are completely undistorted, true-to-scale aerial images based on the Bavarian flight. In a two-year cycle, Bayern-Nord/Bayern-Süd is flown alternately. Since 2018, the True Orthophoto DOP has been derived on the basis of the image-based digital surface model (DOM). The DOP is available in real colours (RGB), grey, color infrared (CIR) and as a printed aerial map.
