This dataset, published by the Ayuntamiento de Madrid (Madrid City Council), provides detailed information on the municipal management of traffic fines up to one month before the current date. It covers management data on complaints issued, fines paid during the voluntary period, amounts collected, and complaints involving foreigners or non-processable fines (since 2010); claims data on driver identification and appeals filed (since 2006); reports by infringement type (since 2010); and citizen attention statistics at the Subdirectorate-General for Traffic Fines Management, including counter and file-review service and time spent (2013-2020). Data are provisional, subject to revision, and carry a three-month lag due to source consolidation. This data set includes detailed information on the municipal management of traffic fines for which the Madrid City Council is responsible up to one month before the current one. You can consult the evolution, over time, of the number of complaint bulletins made, of the collection obtained by traffic fines, of the allegations and appeals presented. The series of data on the way in which citizens who are interested in their fines are treated includes the period between 2013 and 2020. Specifically, they include: * Management data (data since 2010): complaints made, fines paid in voluntary period, collection obtained and complaints to foreigners and non-processable fines for different reasons, in annual calculation. * Claims (data since 2006): Data on identifications of the drivers responsible for the infringements as well as the allegations and the different types of appeals filed by the drivers in the sanctioning proceedings for traffic infringements * Reports by type (data since 2010): the data of the complaints grouped by the type of infringement committed are shown, with special indication of the most frequent infringing behaviors. The data in this table are provisional and subject to change as new complaints that have not yet been processed are added to each column. In this case, the information provided presents a three-month decalage with respect to the month in which the download occurs. This delay is necessary for the consolidation of information from different sources. For more detailed information, please refer to the data set “Traffic fines: detail”. * Attention to citizens (data from 2013 to 2020): people served at the Subdirectorate-General for Traffic Fines Management, both at the counter and in view of the file and time spent on said attention.
