AFIS - Gravity Fixed Points
Gravity fixed points are measurement points for which the fall acceleration (heaviness) of the earth is determined very precisely and which are listed in the official SFP certificate. The gravity or fall acceleration consists of gravity (mass attraction of the earth) and the centrifugal acceleration of the earth's rotation. In the 1960s, the State Gravimetric Networks (SGN) were established in the former GDR. The 1st to 3rd Order was marketed, the 4. Order remained unmarketed. The point density is 1 gravimeter point 1 to 4. Order on 1.5 km ². The data is provided free of charge via automated procedures or by means of self-extraction. When using the data, the license conditions must be observed.
