This interface is open and available free of charge. Please note that this interface is in active development and that there may be failures. A functional guarantee cannot be assumed. As part of MÜNSTERHACK 2019, this API interface based on Websockets was published for the first time. In the meantime, Stadtwerke Münster have further developed the interface and also offer an API in the standardized format \"GTFS Realtime Feed\". On the following links you will find a technical documentation of all endpoints and an interactive example application where you can see exactly where which bus is currently and which buses are delayed by how many seconds. How the interactive application works: The bus positions update automatically after a few seconds. The location markers show the number of the respective bus line. If you click on a single bus in the map, the corresponding line history is displayed after a little delay. The color indicates how many seconds delay the bus has. Update 2024: In addition to the Websocket API for bus positions, Stadtwerke Münster now also offers a GTFS Realtime Feed. In addition, live information on vehicle utilization has been added, i.e. for buses with corresponding sensors, it is displayed how full the bus is.
