The division follows the Standard for Swedish Industrial Classification (SNI) 2007. The categories O (unknown), A (agriculture, hunting and forestry), B (extraction of materials), D (supply of electricity, gas, heating and cooling), E (water supply etc.), T (household production etc.) and U (activity at international organizations) have been merged into the category \"Other\" due to the low number of people working in these industries. The variable also shows the total number of people working in the area. The variable is divided by gender. The statistics include all individuals between 15 and 74 who are registered in Sweden on 31 December. A large number of people working in an area are required to be able to break down the group into the different SNI categories. The SNI categories can therefore only be reported for a few sub- areas. Based on statistics from BAS (\"Labour Market Status of the Population\"). Starting with the reference year 2022, a new data source is used as SCB switches data source to BAS from the previous RAMS (\"Register-based labour market statistics\"). There are differences between how RAMS defines gainfully employed and how BAS defines employed. For example, RAMS classifies those who work in Denmark as not gainfully employed, while in BAS they are counted as employed under certain circumstances. There is therefore a time series break for this time series starting with data from 2022.
